The statements of Russian Defense Minister Shoigu in the Russia-Ukraine war drew attention. Shoigu stated that the news that Russia invaded Ukraine was unfounded.
Russian Defense Minister Shoigu noted that the main purpose of the special military operation in Ukraine is to protect Russia from the military threat from the West.
‘OPERATIONS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE OBJECTIVES ARE REACHED’
Sergey Shoigu stated that until the set goals are achieved, the Russian forces will continue the operation in Ukraine. The Minister of Defense accused the Western countries of using the Ukrainian people in their struggle against Russia. “The troops of the army of the Russian Federation will continue their special military operation until the set goals are achieved,” Shoigu said in his speech at the meeting with the Ministry of Defense officials.
‘ATTACKS ARE ONLY PERFORMED ON MILITARY FACILITIES’
Shoigu continued, “The most important thing for us is to protect the Russian Federation from the military threat posed by Western countries,” and stated that the Russian army did not invade Ukraine during the operation and did everything to protect the lives and safety of civilians in this country.
“I would like to point out that the attacks are carried out only on military facilities, and only high-precision weapons that hit the desired target are used,” the Russian Defense Minister emphasized.
Noting that the Ukrainian side, using civilians as human shields, placed rocket launchers in settlements, school and residential gardens, the Russian Defense Minister also thanked the Russian soldiers who took part in the operations in Ukraine for their courage and heroism.
